I've got many films that I wouldn't enlist in my top 10, or even in my top 20, of my favourite films, but somehow I like to go back to them.I don't have to watch them in front of the TV focused from the beginning till the very end.On the contrary, I like when they play as a background while I am absorbed by everyday activities, such as cleaning, cooking, or working on photos. These films quickly allow me to grasp the atmosphere that has been floating somewhere in my head for a couple of days but it was too elusive for me to name it.

One of such films is surely "A Good Year" with Russel Crowe and Marion Cotillard – even though it's slightly banal it is, at the same time, sweet and ideally grasps the charms of Provence. Its premiere took place more than 10 years ago. Therefore, some of the scenes, and surely some of the outfits, should seem to me a little bit out-of-date.In a strange way, even Fanna Chenal's style (one of the main female protagonists) turns out to be resistant to the passing influence of fashion. In one of the scenes, she is wearing a black dress, denim jacket, and wedged espadrilles. All of these pieces have been known for decades, and they are still a little bit unappreciated, yet they create a coherent and romantic whole.
