   Today's post will disrupt the chronology as Venice was, in fact, the finishing point of our journey and not the starting point. However, since it is Sunday, I've decided to leave a detailed summary for another day.

   Those of you who follow my Instagram stories know that we have embarked on a long journey with Portos. We couldn't miss the famous city on water as… exactly, it wasn't really part of our original trip plan, but for me Venice is one of the most magical places on Earth and each excuse to visit the city is in my opinion enough.I definitely enjoy sightseeing around it in the autumn and winter seasons more. During that time, the city streets are deserted, cafes are full of native Venetians with their well-groomed dogs, and there is romantic ambiance permeating the air above the canals, yet September is still a better time than July or August. Especially when Portos nudges us to take him on a walk at 7 in the morning and forces us to leave the apartment when the crowds of tourists are still asleep.

   And when I was sauntering from Doge's Palace to Florian Cafe, I thought that for the first time in my life I feel like a dweller of Venice. I pictured myself as an owner of a dog who went for a walk to grab a cappuccino and some fruit for breakfast. I even gave up on carrying my camera so I didn't reveal the aim of my journey too much.

   Dzisiejszy wpis zaburzy trochę chronologię wydarzeń, bo Wenecja była tak naprawdę finałem naszej podróży, a nie jej początkiem, ale ponieważ dziś jest niedziela to szczegółową relację postanowiłam zostawić na inny dzień.

   Ci z Was, którzy śledzą moje "stories" na Instagramie, wiedzą już, że wraz z Portosem wybraliśmy się w długą wyprawę. Nie mogliśmy ominąć słynnego miasta na wodzie, bo… no właśnie, nie do końca było nam po drodze, ale dla mnie Wenecja to jedno z najbardziej magicznych miejsc na ziemi i każdy pretekst, aby ją odwiedzić jest w mojej ocenie wystarczający. 

   Zdecydowanie wolę ją zwiedzać jesienią i zimą, gdy uliczki są opustoszałe, w kawiarniach przesiadują rodowici wenecjanie ze swoimi wypielęgnowanymi psami, a nad kanałami unosi się romantyczna mgła, ale wrzesień to i tak lepszy moment niż lipiec czy sierpień. Zwłaszcza jeśli Portos o siódmej rano domaga się spaceru i tym samym wyciąga nas z apartamentu, gdy tłumy turystów jeszcze smacznie śpią.

   I gdy tak dreptałam sobie od Pałacu Dożów do kawiarni Florian, pomyślałam sobie, że pierwszy raz czuję się jak mieszkanka Wenecji. Oto ja, ze swoim psem wybrałam się po cappuccino i owoce na śniadanie. Nawet aparat oddałam w inne ręce, więc nie zdradzał celu mojej wizyty.
