dress / sukienka – NA-KD

shoes / buty – Guess

I’ll probably wait for a true party for a few months, but I already have my outfit ;). This navy dress with a fine stripe print, owing to being tied around the waist and a deeper neckline, is really forgiving for our figure. Maybe some of you are still searching for a Valentine’s Day outfit?

This pattern, borrowed from male wardrobe, has a long history behind it – from the British bankers from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries to Winston Churchill to today’s Wolf of Wall Street. In the world of business and finances, a striped suit is supposed to be the symbol of strength and power (the so-called “power suit”). Thankfully, fashion no longer has any gender and the characteristic chalk stripes can be worn by women as well – and we don’t need to have any backstory to it.
