I sometimes manage to find a piece of garment that I put on and don't ever want to take off. That was the case with all of the clothes that I'm wearing in today's photos. Suede zipless boots that I bought last year are a pair of shoes that I have worn most often during the autumn-winter season. I've already started looking for something similar because I know that these may be too battered next year. A leather jacket is the only biker jacket that I've got in my wardrobe. I wear it all year round (if the weather is extremely cold during the winter time, I wear it under a loose coat, whereas I combine it with sheer dresses during the summer), and I don't know whether I'll ever be able to find a better model. It is obvious that a thick black turtleneck sweater will live up to my expectations as I've designed it and supervised the production process myself. I need to admit that I'm nevertheless surprised with the outcome – it is absolutely perfect. Even the gloves (leather at the outside, and cashmere at the inside) and the watch are accessories that I always wear with pleasure.

Czasem udaje mi się znaleźć rzecz, którą wkładam i już nie mam ochoty zdejmować. Tak było w przypadku wszystkich rzeczy, które mam na sobie na dzisiejszych zdjęciach. Zamszowe oficerki bez suwaka, które kupiłam w zeszłym roku, to najczęściej noszona przeze mnie para butów w sezonie jesienno-zimowym. Już teraz zaczynam szukać czegoś podobnego, bo wiem, że w przyszłym roku mogą być już za bardzo zniszczone. Skórzana kurtka, to jedyna ramoneska jaką mam w swojej szafie. Chodzę w niej cały rok (w srogą zimę zakładam ją pod luźniejszy płaszcz, w lecie narzucam na zwiewne sukienki) i nie wiem czy kiedykolwiek znajdę lepszy model. To oczywiste, że czarny, gruby golf będzie spełniał moje wymagania, bo sama go zaprojektowałam i nadzorowałam proces produkcyjny, ale muszę przyznać, że końcowym efektem i tak jestem zaskoczona – jest po prostu idealny. Nawet rękawiczki (z zewnątrz skórzane, wewnątrz kaszmirowe) i zegarek, to dodatki, które zawsze noszę z przyjemnością.

Budowanie zimowej garderoby #2 dwurzędowy płaszcz

Coats are the basis of our winter wardrobe. The double-breasted model will add our outfits some style and will make us look more dignified. I would avoid combining such a coat with typical boots – the reference to military style would be too obvious then. Let's try to break its masculine character with close-fitting trousers or high-heeled shoes.

While searching for an appropriate model in the shops, pay attention to whether the wool content is over 50 %. If it has ornate golden buttons, it is best to sew them tighter right away – it would be a pity not to wear the coat because one of the buttons has fallen off, and we have no chances to find an identical one to match the rest.

Płaszcz jest podstawą zimowej garderoby. Model dwurzędowy doda naszym strojom sznytu i sprawi, że będziemy wyglądać dostojniej. Unikałabym łączenia go z typowymi oficerkami – nawiązywanie do militarnego stylu byłoby wtedy zbyt oczywiste. Spróbujmy przełamać jego męski charakter dopasowanymi spodniami, albo butami na wysokim obcasie.

Szukając odpowiedniego modelu w sklepach, zwróćcie uwagę, aby w składzie miał ponad 50 procent wełny. Jeśli posiada złote, zdobione guziki lepiej od razu mocniej je przyszyć – szkoda byłoby nie nosić płaszcza tylko dlatego, że jeden z guzików odpadł, a my nie mamy szansy na znalezienie identycznego.

The fact that Portos is wagging his tail makes the moment when it's time to leave the house and face rain and wind more bearable. When I grab the leash, he is already jumping around me and pawing on the door. Thank goodness that at least one of us is happy that we are leaving the warm house.

Since I became a dog owner, I have been spending much more time outside, and, of course, I have to wear clothes that are slightly warmer. In this case, a sweater by MLE Collection is best here (I'd been searching for an ideal one for long, and because I couldn't find one, I decided to create it on my own). It is made of merino wool which is pleasant to the touch, very warm, and it looks great (however, you need to shave it once in a while because it has a natural tendency to pill delicately). I also often wear an oversize grey coat, under which you can wear a few layers. This cut isn't easy to wear; therefore, while designing the coat, I was trying to make it fit even petite women.

Merdanie ogona Portosa osładza trochę moment, w którym trzeba wyjść na deszcz i wiatr. Gdy łapię za smycz, skacze już wokół mnie i skrobie łapami drzwi. Dobrze, że chociaż jedno z nas cieszy się z powodu opuszczenia ciepłego domu.

Od czasu, gdy stałam się posiadaczką psa, spędzam więcej czasu na zewnątrz, więc oczywiście ubieram się trochę cieplej. Świetnie sprawdza się w tym wypadku kremowy sweter od MLE Collection (długo szukałam idealnego, a ponieważ nie mogłam go znaleźć, postanowiłam stworzyć go sama). Wykonany jest z wełny merynosowej, która jest przyjemna w dotyku, bardzo ciepła i świetnie wygląda (trzeba ją natomiast co jakiś czas "golić" bo ma naturalną skłonność do delikatnego kulkowania się). Noszę też często oversizowy szary płaszcz, pod który można włożyć kilka warstw. Ten fason nie jest łatwy, dlatego projektując płaszcz zadbałam o to, aby pasował też drobniejszym kobietom.

Last Month

I had been planning the events that were supposed to take place in the autumn for a considerable time. A couple of months ago, I was sure that I would cook my first pumpkin soup this year already in a renovated kitchen. Nothing like that – as of this day, I will have to wait for a while. In October, I had the deadline to submit written materials for another large project; therefore, there was stress, nerves, and great doubts concerning the effect of my own work – as it later turned out, they had been unnecessary. When enumerating all of the important moments of last month, I have to mention a certain little fluffy ball that appeared in our home precisely on the day of my birthday – which I treated like a little harbinger…

Długo planowałam wydarzenia, które miały mieć miejsce jesienią. Kilka miesięcy temu byłam pewna, że pierwszą zupę dyniową w tym roku ugotuję już w wyremontowanej kuchni. Ale nic z tego – na ten moment będę musiała poczekać jeszcze trochę. W październiku miałam też wyznaczony termin na przekazanie materiałów do kolejnego dużego projektu, był więc stres, nerwy i wielkie wątpliwości co do efektu własnej pracy, jak się później okazało, zupełnie niepotrzebne. Wymieniając ważne momenty ostatniego miesiąca nie mogę nie wspomnieć o pewnej małej włochatej kulce, która pojawiła się w naszym domu akurat w dniu moich urodzin, co potraktowałam jako mały znak od losu…

It is a slightly strange feeling when you have to wear a beanie in your future bedroom because you are still waiting for the radiators to be installed… the one that I'm wearing is my favourite – it really fits me well, and it is lined with polar fleece. To trochę dziwne uczucie, gdy w swojej przyszłej sypialni musisz nosić czapkę, bo wciąż czekasz na montaż kaloryferów… ta, którą mam na głowie to moja ulubiona – świetnie leży, a od spodu jest jeszcze podszyta polarem. During the renovation, I had to take all of my things and jam them in a small room, which also has the function of a bedroom and an office for me. The blouse that I'm wearing is from MOHITO. I was really surprised by the fact that it fitted very well, even though I thought that this cut is not for me.

During my trip to Warsaw…

I'm really glad that my friends are fulfilling their dreams. I treat each of their success like my own, and I proudly watch how they raise the bar increasingly higher. Today, I received Zosia's second book, in which you can find recipes for the youngest.

Bardzo się cieszę, gdy moi przyjaciele spełniają swoje marzenia. Ich sukcesy traktuję właściwie jak własne i z dumą patrzę, jak podnoszą poprzeczkę coraz wyżej. Dziś dotarła do mnie druga książka Zosi, w której znajdziecie przepisy dla najmłodszych.

I like those short trips to Warsaw, during which there is so much going on that, at the end of the day, I can't believe that the last hours have flown by so quickly. Life in the capital is very hectic, but from time to time, it is a really nice change from the calm and lazy ambience of Tricity. In the late afternoon, I finally reached my temporary accommodation (I recommend Author rooms to everyone – beautiful and tiny apartments in an old tenement house) and changed my clothes for the evening that I was planning to spend away from work, among long unseen friends.

There are never too many black dresses in my wardrobe. I usually wear them on a daily basis; however, today's version is definitely an option for the evening. The occasion was rather casual. Thus, instead of high heels, I chose dark plum leather boots (I hope that they will help me to break my monochromatic sets) and an oversize grey coat.

Lubię te krótkie wyjazdy do Warszawy, w trakcie których dzieje się tak wiele, że pod koniec dnia nie mogę uwierzyć, jak szybko minęły mi ostatnie godziny. Życie w stolicy pędzi, ale od czasu do czasu, to naprawdę miła odmiana dla spokojnej i leniwej atmosfery Trójmiasta. Późnym popołudniem dotarłam w końcu do mojej tymczasowej kwatery (polecam wszystkim Author rooms – piękne, malutkie apartamenty w starej kamienicy) i przebrałam się na wieczór, który zamierzałam spędzić już nie na pracy, ale w gronie dawno niewidzianych znajomych.

Czarnych sukienek nigdy w mojej szafie za wiele. Zwykle noszę je na co dzień, ale dzisiejsza wersja to opcja zdecydowanie wieczorna. Okazja była mało zobowiązująca, więc zamiast szpilek włożyłam skórzane kozaki w kolorze ciemnej śliwki (mam nadzieję, że pomogą mi przełamywać moje monochromatyczne zestawy) i oversizowy szary płaszcz.
